    About Vic Witlox

Four years ago, Vic discovered golf, and it quickly became his biggest passion. With a current handicap of 6.4, Vic is steadily improving and fully committed to developing his game at the highest level.

One of Vic’s greatest strengths is his discipline. He loves golf and is constantly motivated to train and get better. Whether he’s working on the range or playing on the course, he approaches every session with focus and energy. As he puts it: “When I leave the course, I’m already looking forward to coming back the next day to train again.” Another key strength is his calm mindset under pressure, allowing him to perform in competitive situations. His smooth, effortless swing is often complimented by others as both technically sound and visually appealing.

Some of his recent results include:
    – Rijnmond open: 78-76-82 (T12)
    – Delfland open: 78 (T9)

Vic is currently working to improve the dispersion of his long irons and woods. He trains this both on the range and on the course. Since his home course does not require tee times, he can often practice in real course conditions. This on-course training helps him visualize shots, understand his tendencies, and build confidence.

In addition to his self-driven practice, Vic receives private coaching twice a month from James Doughtie, head coach at Broekpolder. These sessions include technical swing check-ups and targeted work on areas that need improvement.

Looking ahead to 2026, Vic is eager to join a college golf program that will challenge him competitively and support his continued development as a player and person. For the right school and program Vic will also be open to explore options for 2027.
