    Naëll Huijsmans – Women’s Track & Field

    In this article, we share more about student-athlete Naëll Huijsmans. Additionally, at the bottom of this article, you’ll find a video in which Naëll talks more about herself.

    Sports: Women’s Track & Field
    Entry semester: Fall 2025

    The 16-year-old Naëll Huijsmans lives in Kampen and has been involved in athletics since she was six. She quickly realized that running was her favorite activity. Last year, she decided to focus on the 400 and 800 meters. This immediately led to impressive results; she finished 4th in the 800 meters with a personal record at the Dutch Championships.

    Naëll has a very positive attitude and loves being around people. She also finds it important to have a friendly and supportive team in the United States, as she performs better when she is having fun and surrounded by positivity. Additionally, she is very coachable; she is always open to feedback because she knows it makes her a better athlete.

    In the United States, Naëll wants to grow both academically and athletically. By training with a strong team, she can push herself to become the best version of herself and reach an even higher level. Naëll describes herself as a mix of friendliness, discipline, and teamwork. She would be a great addition to many teams!
