Jord Malcorps discovered basketball at just seven years old on the courts of his hometown club, BC Vido in Veldhoven. From early on, his passion and work ethic stood out, and it didn’t take long before his potential opened new doors. He moved to the LOOT basketball academy at Sint Joris College, where he trained intensively for four years while balancing academics and elite-level play.
His drive and talent earned him a spot on the Dutch national youth team after a rigorous selection process. Over three consecutive years, he proudly represented the Netherlands in the 1989, 1990, and 1991 national youth selections, gaining experience on the international stage. In 2007, he reached the pinnacle of Dutch youth basketball, winning the national championship and being named Most Valuable Player — a moment that still stands as one of his proudest achievements.
In 2009, Jord took the leap to the United States, continuing his basketball journey with the Rosholt Hornets. Adjusting to the physicality and intensity of American basketball was a challenge — but one he embraced fully. That hard work paid off in historic fashion: Jord helped lead his team to its first-ever state championship, playing in front of 17,000 fans in a packed arena — a memory that’s etched into his career forever.
Today, Jord remains deeply connected to the game through his work in college basketball recruitment. Backed by his international experience and sharp eye for talent, he’s passionate about helping young players pursue their dreams — just like he did.
“Having gone through the challenges of breaking into U.S. basketball myself, I know how overwhelming it can be. That’s why I’m here — to guide the next generation and give them an even better shot than I had.”
At Slamstox, Jord is committed to opening doors for aspiring athletes. His mission? To turn raw talent into real opportunity.
