Juliëtte van Paasen

Level

Juliëtte currently plays for Cartouche U18-1. Over the past few years, she has gained extensive experience at top youth levels including Super and Subtop. She began her hockey career at a local club before transferring to Cartouche at age 15 to seek greater athletic challenges and advance her development.

Playing style

Juliëtte is a powerful and quick forward with strong elimination skills and a heavy shot, making her a natural goal scorer. Her strengths also lie in smart off-ball movement, utilizing counter-runs and cross-field cuts to consistently receive the ball in dangerous positions. Defensively, she is active and proactive, tracking back relentlessly off the ball to apply immediate pressure on her opponents. She is also versatile on set pieces, excelling as an APC tip-in option at the R1 position as well as contributing on DPCs. Juliëtte prides herself on being competitive, high-energy, and driven by a strong desire to win. This mindset shows in her relentless work rate and ability to energize her teammates.

Academics

Juliëtte attends a high school with a dedicated elite sports program. Since her second year of high school, she has balanced a full VWO workload with two extra morning hockey training sessions each week. Juliëtte also took two years of Cambridge English. She is expected to graduate in June 2027.
