Brent Ruhl

Personal:
Brent is a dedicated and ambitious person who is constantly looking for ways to improve his game. His experience at professional academies has challenged him to develop in competitive environments and has strengthened his desire to continue progressing as a person and player. The discipline Brent has developed has also enabled him to establish his own company, where he has been working on innovation within the sports market for the past two years. For several years he also trained and helped young goalkeepers in their development.

Soccer:
Brent’s strengths make him a modern and complete goalkeeper. He has a strong kick and is comfortable playing the ball out from the back, allowing him to contribute significantly to his team’s build-up play. He is also confident playing high off his goal, often positioning himself well outside the penalty area to deal with long balls and prevent dangerous situations before they develop.
At the age of 17, Brent gained interest from pro clubs such as PSV Eindhoven and Olympiakos (Greece).
Communication is another important part of Brent’s game. He is constantly coaching his teammates and helping organize the defensive structure, ensuring that players are positioned effectively on the field. Being the captain of several teams, Brent developed leadership qualities. Combining his leadership and willingness to communicate provides stability to the team and players around him.
On the goal line, Brent combines good positioning with strong reflexes, allowing him to react quickly to shots and make important saves. His ability to contribute both in possession and defensively makes him a versatile goalkeeper who can have an impact in all phases of the game.
With experience at both first-team and U23 level, as well as trials at professional academies such as PSV Eindhoven and Helmond Sport, Brent has developed a strong foundation and is motivated to continue challenging himself and reach the next level of his development.

Brent is looking to join a masters program in the spring of 2027.
