Art Jin has made rapid progress since returning to competitive swimming in 2023, and is now competing at the elite level with Blue Marlins in the Dutch Eredivisie.
His strongest event is the 50m Butterfly, where he currently ranks #12 in the Netherlands in his age group. He has already qualified for both the Dutch Junior National Championships (NJK) and Dutch National Championships (NK) later this year, demonstrating his ability to compete at the national level despite having only a few years of serious competitive swimming experience.
Art Jin’s biggest strength is his explosive speed.
He is particularly effective in sprint events, where his acceleration, power off the start, and ability to reach top speed quickly allow him to compete at a high level.

Art Jin’s ability to transition between strokes also gives him versatility, while his sprinting ability and competitive mindset make him particularly valuable in relay environments.
While Art Jin loves the individual challenge of racing the clock, relays are one of his favorite parts of competitive swimming.
Racing alongside teammates brings out his competitive energy and gives him an additional motivation to perform. He enjoys being part of a team, contributing to a shared goal, and pushing himself alongside the athletes around him.
This team mentality is one of the reasons he is particularly excited about the opportunity to experience the U.S. high school or PG swimming environment.
Art Jin is looking to join a competitive boarding school or PG program in the Fall of 2027.
