Level

Frederique plays for Klein Zwitserland MO18-1 at the Landelijk level, the highest tier of youth hockey in the Netherlands. Throughout her career, she has consistently played at the nation’s top level. She is a core player in an exceptionally strong group that consistently gets the maximum out of their potential.

Playing style

Frederique is a composed and dependable central defender whose game is built on strong 1v1 positioning and precise tackle timing. Offensively, she possesses a versatile passing range, proficient in pushing, sweeping, and hitting. This allows her to distribute effectively across both short and long distances and find open teammates with ease. She plays an efficient, low-error game that provides stability to her team and enables those around her to perform at their best. To further enhance her impact, she is actively working on her overall speed and acceleration by refining her footwork, mobility, and sprint technique. Frederique has experience in taking shootouts on decicive moments.

Accomplishments

Frederique possesses extensive experience competing in high-pressure and championship matches. At age 14, she won both the Dutch Indoor and Outdoor National Championships, along with titles at the Paris Saint-Germain and Leonidas tournaments, where she scored the winning penalty stroke in the final. She earned a 2nd-place finish in the 2024/2025 Outdoor National Championship and secured another Indoor National title in the 2025/2026 season while actively pursuing the outdoor championship.

Academics

Frederique is a strong student at the VWO high school, and is expected to graduate in June 2027.
