About Georgios Karagkioules

Georgios plays an aggressive baseline game, utilizing a variety of tactical weapons to dictate play. He possesses a powerful flat first serve and a versatile second serve with effective slice and kick. His forehand and steady cross-court backhand are the foundations of his game, but he distinguishes himself with his touch and variety, often using slice backhands and drop shots to disrupt his opponent’s rhythm. He also often takes advantage of opportunities to come to the net.

One of Georgios’ defining characteristics is his mental toughness and positive attitude within a team. As being one of the youngest in his age category, he was forced  to fight harder and compete against physically more developed players from a young age. This challenge has shaped him into a confident and collaborative teammate who thrives in a competitive environment. His positive attitude and ability to collaborate well with other players has brought impressive wins in his doubles matches.   His ultimate goal is to continue developing his game to achieve a high UTR and successfully transition to competing on the ITF Futures circuit. He is looking for a college program that sets clear goals, has a structured plan to achieve them, and fosters a positive, competitive team environment.

Georgios is eager to contribute to a team that pushes each player to reach their potential while also supporting individual growth.

Some of his best UTR-based results are:
6-0 6-1 win over Jesper Aaron Bos (UTR 8.30)
6-4 3-6 0-1 loss to Antoine Baudot (UTR 10.00)
7-5 4-6 1-0 (doubles) win over P Zikas (UTR 10.22) / K. Papadimitriou (UTR 10.13)
6-2 0-6 1-0 (doubles) win over K. Kalpaxidis (UTR 9.36) / T. Xirotagaros (UTR 9.50)

Georgios is an ambitious student looking to excel both on the court and in the classroom. He is planning to major in Business and Entrepreneurship, seeking a program that balances a high-level tennis team with a strong academic reputation. He is committed to being a leader for his team, bringing a positive and collaborative attitude to every match and practice session.
