Mats has already performed at a high level from a young age, highlighted by his selection for the KNVB Youth Plan South at Under 12 and Under 13, where he competed among the top talents in the region. This experience laid a strong foundation for his continued development and understanding of the game.

In addition to his athletic qualities, Mats possesses solid technical fundamentals, including accurate passing, a reliable shot, and strong decision-making. He plays with awareness and vision, often thinking one step ahead and anticipating situations before they unfold. This allows him not only to elevate his own performance but also to guide and support his teammates during the game.

Mats is highly committed to continuous improvement. He actively works on refining his technique, enhancing his running efficiency, and maintaining peak physical condition to maximize his impact as an attacking midfielder.

Looking ahead, Mats is seeking to join a competitive academic and athletic program in the fall of 2027. Off the field, he is interested in studying sports marketing, marketing, or economics, aiming to combine his passion for sport with a strong academic foundation while continuing to develop at a high level as a soccer player.
