About Max Don

Max started tennis relatively late at age 12–13 and began serious training around age 15. He reached a UTR 10+ level despite having relatively little match experience compared to his peers. Currently, he is focused on rebuilding his structure, hitting the gym or doing conditioning at least five times per week to maintain high fitness levels, while training on-court three times per week with the intention to increase this as he returns to a full competition schedule.

Having developed rapidly in his teens, Max has proven he can compete with high-level opponents, including wins over players rated far above him. He reached the doubles final of an ITF J30 in Hasselt and has held his own in competitive matches against former ATP-ranked players. His late start means he has significant potential to grow.  He looks forward to the high volume of matches in the US to help bridge the gap between his training level and match performance.

Some of his notable results from recent matches include:
7-5 2-6 6-3 win over Daan Koppers (UTR 10.34)
6-4 1-6 7-6 win over Daan Portier (UTR 11.36)
6-0 3-6 10-6 win over Boris van Ruiten (UTR 11.49)

Alongside tennis, Max is currently studying Communication at the University of Amsterdam (UvA). For his further studies in the United States, he is looking to move toward the Psychology, politics or philosophy direction, combining his academic progression with a high-level athletic environment. He should have 4 years of eligibility left.

He finished his high school in the Netherlands with a 3.13 GPA and his University GPA will be available later.
