Athletic Background
Sydney has played volleyball her entire career at VC Weert. Throughout her youth career, she competed at the highest levels, winning the league title in nearly every season. At the end of last season, while still officially part of U16, she already trained and competed with VC Weert Dames 1, becoming double champion with both teams.

This season, Sydney is officially part of VC Weert Dames 1, competing at 2nd Division level, despite being only 14 years old. In addition to playing with her own team, she has been training with Ledûb (Topdivision level) since the age of 14. Her training includes both on-court practice and weight training multiple times a week.

Sydney has competed extensively with the Pre-Youth regional program. In early 2025, she finished 1st place in U15 indoor volleyball with her regional Pre-Youth team. In 2025, she also competed at the Dutch National Beach Volleyball Championships (NK Beach) in the U15 category.

Strengths
Sydney is a complete all-round outside hitter with strong ball control, a high contact point in attack, and a calm, controlled passing style. She handles hard serves effectively, performs well in out-of-system situations, and brings strong mental resilience and leadership, never giving up on a ball and quickly resetting after mistakes.

She is a highly motivated athlete committed to continuous development, who consistently pushes herself to the limit in training and never gives up until the last point is played.

Academic Background
Sydney is currently enrolled in HAVO and is motivated to combine her academics with collegiate volleyball in the United States starting in fall 2027. She is interested in mathematic, sport related majors.
