Level 

Yfke plays for Oranje-Rood in the National League (Landelijk Topklasse), the highest youth division in the Netherlands. Her talent was recognized early when she was selected for the KNHB Dutch National U14 program. To further challenge herself, she has recently started playing games for the senior team Dames 2 in the Reserve Hoofdklasse, proving she can compete at a high physical and technical level.

Playing style 

Yfke is a smart and flexible player who excels in the midfield and attack. She is known for her exceptional tactical skills and game insight, which she constantly improves by learning from high-level games. On the ball, she is strong and makes great decisions on when to take action or pass to a teammate in a better position. Yfke is a true team player with a “never give up” attitude. She maintains peak physical condition through gym sessions and running, ensuring she has the endurance to perform throughout every game.

Accomplishments 

Yfke’s hockey career is defined by steady growth and a commitment to playing at the highest possible level. She reached the Dutch National Indoor Championships with her team last season and has consistently played in first-selection teams throughout her youth. Her successful transition to Oranje-Rood and her invitation to the U14 KNHB regional program demonstrate her ability to adapt and perform in competitive environments.

Academics 

Yfke is an ambitious student at Montessori Lyceum Eindhoven, where she is pursuing her HAVO diploma. She is a disciplined student-athlete who excels at planning her time between elite hockey and her coursework. Yfke is on track to graduate in June 2027 and is ready to bring her strong work ethic and academic focus to a challenging university environment in the United States.

Yfke is incredibly driven to take on this new adventure and is eager to develop into an even more complete athlete while making a winning impact for her U.S. team starting in Fall 2027!
