Sports: Men’s Soccer
Entry semester: Fall 2025

Tijn is eighteen years old and lives in a small village in the Netherlands. His love for soccer began at the age of eleven when he first laced up his soccer shoes.

Before Tijn discovered his true passion for soccer, he tried various other sports, but none of them truly captured his heart. This completely changed when he laced up his soccer shoes and became fascinated by the beautiful game. Initially, he played as an outfield player, but when he got the chance to play as a goalkeeper, he was immediately hooked and never wanted to go back.

Tijn now trains four to five times a week, both with his own team and with an older age group. At the age of fifteen, he was already given the opportunity to train with the first team, and at sixteen, he even made his debut for his local club.

What makes Tijn special as a person is his determination and passion for everything he does. He knows what he wants and doesn’t let anything distract him from his goals. With his natural leadership, he knows how to motivate those around him and encourage them to bring out the best in themselves.
