Jorinde grew up in Assen and is now among the world’s very best in discus and shot put. Her own journey as a student-athlete took her to Arizona State University and later to the University of Oregon, where she combined elite athletics with her studies.

In the United States, Jorinde became one of the country’s top college athletes. She was named NCAA Division I Champion three times. Her time in the United States not only gave her the opportunity to further develop as an athlete, but also allowed her to experience the many opportunities the American college system has to offer.

As a Slamstox Ambassador, Jorinde draws on her own experiences to inspire the next generation of student-athletes. She knows better than anyone how important the right environment and guidance are for getting the most out of yourself, both athletically and personally.

Drawing on her experience as a college athlete and a top athlete on the international stage, Jorinde wants to show young athletes the opportunities available in the United States and inspire them to pursue their own ambitions.
