This is Artur Royaards, an ambitious basketball player from Rotterdam. Before focusing fully on basketball, he played rugby. That background helped him develop a physically strong playing style and not shy away from tough battles on the court.
Artur started at a club at a lower level, where his love for basketball began. Through a lot of extra training, he made great strides and managed to significantly improve his scoring ability. Later, he made the move from the fifth to the first division and now plays for Rotterdam Basketball.
As a player, Artur is very competitive and puts the team’s interests first. He trains with the same focus and intensity with which he plays games and gets a lot of satisfaction from defending. He also tries to motivate his teammates, give tips and improve together as a team.
In the United States, Artur wants to step outside his comfort zone, get to know new people and develop further. His ambition is to eventually play professional basketball, while also achieving good academic results.
For his future team, Artur mainly wants to bring positivity, energy and full commitment. He wants not only to improve himself, but also to help his teammates grow and fight together for success.
