Finn’s athletic journey began on the soccer field, where he played as a striker from age 3 to 15. This background provided him with elite endurance and sprinting speed, which are now key assets in his tennis game. In addition to soccer, Finn is an all-around athlete who enjoys golf, skiing, and hiking. Since shifting his focus entirely to tennis in 2023, he has shown a steep learning curve and a high ceiling for development.
On the court, Finn relies on his physicality and technical consistency. His serve and forehand are the cornerstones of his game, characterized by a combination of heavy pace and spin. While he is already a versatile competitor, highlighted by a singles title at the Karstner Cup in Austria, he is highly motivated to further master the tactical side of the game. His goal for his time in the U.S. is to maximize his potential and prepare himself for high-level national competition upon his return to the Netherlands.
Some of his best UTR-based results are:
1-6 6-3 10-8 win over Sven Putter (UTR 7.82)
6-2 3-6 2-6 loss to Tristan Philippa (UTR 8.64)
6-2 6-1 win over Ewald Martinon (UTR 7.36)
Alongside his tennis development, Finn is focused on his academic path. He is interested in pursuing an (International) Economics or Business major in the United States. Finn is a disciplined student-athlete looking for a program that allows him to balance a high volume of training with a serious degree, while contributing to a professional team environment.
