Athletic Background
Isis started athletics at the age of six, initially participating in all track and field events. From an early stage, she discovered that running events suited her best and quickly became her main focus.
At the age of twelve, she made a conscious decision to further develop her running by joining Loopland Gelderland, where she continues to train today while remaining a member of her original club, Atletico ’73. This combination has allowed her to benefit from both a strong training environment and continued competition experience with her club.
Isis competes in middle-distance (MILA) events, with a primary focus on the 800 meters, while also occasionally racing the 400 meters and 1500 meters. She regularly competes at national championships, where she has achieved strong results, including a 6th place at the Dutch National Indoor Championships U16 and reaching the final at the Dutch National Outdoor Championships U18.

Strengths
Isis’ biggest strengths are her competitive mindset and discipline. She approaches both training and competition with focus and determination, always aiming to get the most out of herself. In races, she shows strong mental resilience and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Her consistency in training and willingness to put in the work make her a reliable and steadily improving athlete.
Goals
Isis is focused on developing herself as a complete athlete. Rather than targeting one specific area, she aims to improve across all aspects of her performance, including endurance, speed, and race execution. This broad approach reflects her long-term vision of continuous growth and progression within the sport.
Isis’ goal in the United States is to further develop as an athlete, compete at a high level, and make a meaningful contribution to her team. She is motivated to take advantage of the competitive environment and coaching opportunities to elevate her performance.
After her time in the U.S., she aims to become a top five senior 800m athlete in the Netherlands, continuing her progression toward the national elite level.
