About Iskander Stapel

Athletics
Iskander plays for Rapiditas and De Oorspron, currently holding a 6.5 rating in the Netherlands. He brings a rich elite athletic background: playing 10 years of high-level competitive soccer (3rd/4th division KNVB) and spending years in track and field, where he was a national champion in vortex throw, 3rd nationally in long jump, and regional champion (Zuid-Holland) in combined events.
After playing tennis from age 6 to 11, Iskander returned to the sport 1.5 years ago and quickly resumed winning local tournaments and club championships. He actively utilizes his multi-sport background working on track speed training and agility ladder drills to continually elevate his footwork and physical baseline.

Strengths `
Iskander’s biggest assets are his court speed, physical reach, and powerful serve, which benefits greatly from his 195 cm frame and throwing mechanics. He is a very well-rounded, versatile athlete (with additional experience in volleyball, table tennis, swimming, and dance) who takes an active, structured approach to refining his stroke consistency and rally length.

Academics
Iskander is a motivated student combining his athletic ambitions with his academic goals in the Netherlands. Iskander is currently in his last year of HAVO and is still exploring his options on what he wants to study in college.
