Tennis Background
Jack follows an intensive training schedule focused on continuing his development as a complete player. He currently trains approximately 12 hours of tennis per week, supplemented by two hours of physical training on court and two gym sessions each week.
Alongside his training, Jack gains regular match experience by competing in the Sunday Men’s 1st Class league during both the spring and fall seasons and by playing open tournaments throughout the year. As the next step in his development, he plans to start competing in ITF tournaments next year.
Strengths
One of Jack’s main strengths is his versatility. He is comfortable adapting his game to different opponents and match situations rather than relying on one specific style of play. He uses variation to disrupt his opponent’s rhythm and looks for opportunities to move forward and finish points at the net.
His all-round game and tactical awareness allow him to make adjustments throughout a match, an important quality as he continues to compete against stronger opponents and prepare for the demands of college tennis.
Some of his notable results from recent matches include:
63 62 win over Tom Van Bavinckhoven (UTR 9.79)
76 76 win over Mees Burgersdijk (UTR 9.59)
16 64 119 win over Krein Reurink (UTR 9.29)
Academics
Jack is currently in his final year of VWO, the highest level of high school education in the Netherlands. He is mostly interested in majoring in Law, History, or Economics. Jack is looking for a college where he can pursue his academic interests while continuing to develop as a competitive tennis player.
