When he was 12, he made the move to the highest division in the Netherlands. He has now been playing there for seven years and has developed enormously both as a player and as a person.

What makes him unique as an athlete is his strong work ethic and leadership. He always plays with full intensity – 120% commitment is the norm with him. You can see that in his workouts, his defensive play and his role within the team. Jahriq is a natural leader and a player you can build on. His drive to get better is unparalleled. His life goal is simple but powerful: to get everything out of life and fulfill his basketball ambitions. One of his big dreams is to one day play in the EuroLeague, against Partizan, and then make the winning shot.
What Jahriq brings to America? A strong defender, a driven leader and someone with a real winner’s mentality. He comes not only to learn, but also to make an impact – for himself and for his team.
