Maarten is a 21-year-old from the Netherlands, living in the city of Arnhem. He lives with his older brother, father, and mother.

Maarten has always been very competitive, whether it’s playing games with friends or intense soccer matches on the playground. Initially, he played as a forward, but after noticing that the goalkeeper wasn’t giving his best, Maarten decided to put on the gloves. From that moment on, he never took them off.

Hard work is the essence of Maarten’s life as an athlete. He is never easily satisfied with what he has already achieved and always looks ahead. This is reflected in his intensive gym sessions, small training exercises, and the in-depth discussions he has with his teammates after every practice.

In the U.S., Maarten wants to make a significant contribution to the school he plays soccer for. His goals are to earn his degree, but even more importantly, he wants to develop as a person and a soccer player. With his determination and ambition, Maarten is ready to face the challenges ahead of him.
