This is Vic Witlox, a golfer from the Netherlands aged 17, living in Rotterdam. Vic first played soccer for eight years as a midfielder, but five years ago he changed his mind and started playing golf. Since he once vacationed next to a golf course and took a golf lesson there, Vic started to develop in the sport.
What makes Vic special as a person is that he is always open to learning new things. Consequently, he really enjoys having new experiences, coming up with new ideas and learning new things.
What really sets Vic apart as an athlete is his mentality. When things don’t go the way Vic wants for a while, he can quickly reset and focus on the next stroke. He also always remains very calm and confident when under pressure.
In the future, Vic hopes to make the most of his time in America both academically and athletically. According to Vic himself, there is no better place to be able to do that. In the long run, Vic would like to pursue a career in the golf world. It does not matter to him whether that is as a professional, or another role such as a coach. Vic thinks it is important that he always does his best in both practices, and in important matches. But he also thinks it is important to keep having fun within the team.
