Sports: Men’s Tennis
Entry semester: Fall 2025

This is Anlun Zwerver, a 19-year-old athlete from the Netherlands, living in Koog aan de Zaan. At the age of eight, Anlun started playing tennis, along with his older brother, but at 15 he decided to take a break for a year to focus more on working on his body in the gym. After that year, he returned to tennis and his passion for tennis has only grown ever since.

What makes Anlun special as a person is his leadership. He feels it is important to help others improve, as he has done many times with his friends, whom he has encouraged to go to the gym.

What really sets Anlun apart as an athlete is his strong desire to improve himself. He is always looking for ways to improve his game. Before each practice session, he takes notes on the focus points he wants to concentrate on. In addition, he is open to feedback from his coach or teammates, which allows him to make quick adjustments and continuously improve himself.

In the future, Anlun hopes to meet many new people in America who share the same passion for tennis as he does. Anlun wants to see how far he can get with tennis while simultaneously pursuing a master’s degree.
