Sports: Baseball
Entry semester: Fall 2026
This is Max Barraco, a 15-year-old athlete from the Netherlands, living in Delft. At the age of five, Max started playing baseball at a small club in Delft. At age eleven, he made the move to Neptunus, where he now plays in the U21 selection in the highest Dutch league.
What makes Max special as a person is his strong willpower and social skills. He can easily connect with others and builds friendships quickly. He is also someone who, when he goes for something, is fully committed to achieving his goals.
What really sets Max apart as an athlete is his versatility. He plays as both a pitcher and a utility player, which means he is employable at a variety of options. He also loves the strategy behind pitching, the concentration it requires and the responsibility that comes with it.
In the future, Max hopes to play at a high level in America and continue to constantly develop himself. Playing in America is not only a chance for him to get better, but also a step toward his dream: a professional career in baseball.
“Playing baseball in the USA has been a dream of mine ever since I was very young.”
