In this article, we introduce you to student-athlete Rick van Zuuk. Rick is a passionate volleyball player with big ambitions who plans to start at an American university in the Fall of 2026.

Rick van Zuuk is 16 years old and is from the village of Elst, Netherlands, where he lives with his parents, brother and dog. His passion for volleyball started at a young age. At age 6, his neighbor took him to volleyball practice once, and this turned out to be the beginning of a great adventure. During the corona period Rick got the chance to train with voCASA Nijmegen for a while. After a few months he decided to join the club, and since then his development as a volleyball player has accelerated.

As a person, Rick is sociable, active and adventurous. He loves meeting new people, enjoys being outdoors and is always sociable. His positive attitude and energetic personality make him well-liked within his environment and team.

On the volleyball court, Rick is tremendously passionate and a true team player. He is determined to constantly improve himself and always gives 100%. His commitment, perseverance and team spirit make him a valuable asset to any team he plays on. Rick stands out for his focus on both his technical skills and his mental strength.

In the U.S., Rick hopes to find the perfect balance between high-level volleyball and his studies. He looks forward to playing with teammates from all over the world who share the same ambition and passion. Of course, he also hopes to complete his degree and further develop as a person and athlete.
