In this article, we tell you more about student-athlete Robert Weiss. In addition, at the bottom of this article you will find the video in which Robert talks more about himself.

Sports: Men’s Golf
Entry semester: Fall 2025

This is Robert Weiss, a 17-year-old athlete from the Netherlands, living in Utrecht. Robert has always loved sports. From age four to eight he played soccer and from age six to 15 he played field hockey. At the age of 15, Robert played golf for the first time, together with his father, to see if he liked it. And he did. At 16, he decided to focus more on golf, and since then his enthusiasm for the sport has only grown.

What makes Robert special as a person is his mentality. His perseverance and mentality set him apart from others and make him strong, both on and off the court.

What really sets Robert apart as an athlete is his ability to learn quickly. His positive attitude and resilience, even in difficult situations, have helped him keep team spirit high and become a reliable part of the team.

“My life goal is to become the best version of myself, both as a golfer and as a person.”

Robert Weiss
