Next strategic step in growth and professionalization
Slamstox is taking an important next step in its development with the establishment of an Advisory Board. With the accession of Jacques Jetten and Bob van Oosterhout, Slamstox is deliberately bringing on board additional experience, strategic acuity and entrepreneurship.
Since its founding in 2014, Slamstox has developed into an international player in coaching student-athletes who want to combine sports and studies. Since then, Slamstox has mentored more than 2,000 student-athletes, is active for athletes in more than 25 countries and works daily with universities, coaches and partners worldwide. From this growing Slamstox community, several new ideas and initiatives have emerged over the past few years and are constantly being developed.
The creation of an Advisory Board fits this phase. The goal is to continue building on scalability, focus and future-proofing, while keeping the personal and intensive support of student-athletes at the center.

We are proud to introduce the Advisory Board to you:
Jacques Jetten
Partner at Aeternus Corporate Finance
Jacques Jetten is the founder of Aeternus Corporate Finance and has broad experience in strategic issues around growth, entrepreneurship and value creation. Over the years he has assisted SMEs, scale-ups as well as corporate organizations, on both a national and international level.
With his background in corporate finance and strategic decision-making, Jacques brings an analytical and forward-looking perspective to the Advisory Board, with a specific focus on structure, scalability and long-term choices.
“Slamstox has a strong foundation, a clear positioning and an international footprint. Especially in this phase, it is valuable to look ahead strategically and stay sharp on focus and choices. I look forward to contributing to that together.” – Jacques Jetten
Bob van Oosterhout
Sports entrepreneur and owner of Heroes Den Bosch
Bob van Oosterhout has been active in the sports world for decades as an entrepreneur, administrator and consultant. He is the owner of basketball club Heroes Den Bosch, one of the leading sports organizations in the Netherlands, and from that role already works intensively with Slamstox.
In addition, Bob himself combined sports and studies in the United States, so he knows the American system inside out. His experience at the intersection of elite sports and entrepreneurship aligns strongly with Slamstox’s ambitions.
“What appeals to me is the combination of sports, education and entrepreneurship, and the ambition behind Slamstox. The next step is not in working harder, but in sharper choices and clear direction. That’s what I like to think about.” – Bob van Oosterhout
Strategic support for the next phase
The Advisory Board will support Slamstox on a strategic level. The focus is on positioning, organizational development, scalability and making choices that fit the company’s long-term ambition. The Board has no operational role, but acts as a sounding board and mirror for Slamstox’s management.
“Slamstox has experienced very nice growth and is now at a point where further professionalization is needed to reach the next level. I want to keep challenging myself and surround myself with people who keep me on my toes and help me make better decisions that contribute to the further development of the organization. With Jacques and Bob we add a tremendous amount of experience to Slamstox.” – Pedro Mol
Looking for a third consultant
Slamstox plans to eventually expand the Advisory Board with a third member. This will involve looking at someone who brings additional experience, for example in the field of international college sports, HR or entrepreneurship. More on this later.
With the establishment of the Advisory Board, Slamstox underlines its ambition to continue building a future-proof organization, supported by a strong community and a clear vision on sports, studies and personal development.
