Jochem is an intern at Slamstox and is primarily involved in placement-related tasks. He combines his internship with his studies in Sports Marketing & Commercial Economics at the Johan Cruyff Academy in Tilburg.

Sports play a major role in Jochem’s life. His great passion is handball, and he currently plays for Van Mossel MG/Tachos Men’s 1. He also has considerable experience in elite sports. For example, he represented the national youth team in several international matches and lived at the Papendal training center for three years, where he was able to focus entirely on his development as a handball player.

Thanks to his own experiences as both a top athlete and a student, Jochem understands well what it takes to balance sports, academics, and personal development. He brings that experience to his work at Slamstox, which allows him to truly empathize with the world of student-athletes and the choices they must make along their journey.

Jochem is looking forward to learning as much as possible during his internship while also helping student-athletes take the next step in their athletic and academic careers.
