Joep is an intern at Slamstox and focuses primarily on marketing and creating premium content for social media. He is combining his internship with the Sports Marketing program at SPECO at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Tilburg.

Sports play a big role in Joep’s life. Born and raised in Eindhoven, he’s a die-hard PSV fan. He shares a season ticket with his father and grandfather and can be found at the stadium for every home game. In addition, Joep himself takes to the soccer field every Sunday at RKVVO, where he plays with a friendly group of friends. And of course, there’s always time for the “third half” after the game.

During his studies, Joep became increasingly interested in combining academics and sports in the United States. Although he hasn’t taken that step himself, his internship at Slamstox gives him the chance to explore the world of college sports up close. This allows him to perfectly combine his interest in sports and marketing with his curiosity about America.

Joep is looking forward to learning a lot during his internship, putting his creativity to good use, and showcasing the stories of student-athletes in a compelling way.
