About
Marle van Dessel

After graduating from high school in 2007, Marle wasn’t sure in which direction she wanted to continue her education. She decided to take a “year off” and go to the United States to combine her studies with playing field hockey at Virginia Commonwealth University. It turned out to be a great move, because six years, two degrees, a year in the field and countless great memories later, she can confidently say it was the best decision of her life.

Thanks to the professional sports culture and many practice hours at VCU, Marle has been able to continue her field hockey career at a high level. She played the past 9 years at Were Di (Tilburg) in the Overgangsklasse and Promotieklasse.

As Field Hockey Specialist at Slamstox, Marle’s goal is to provide Dutch field hockey players with the same great experience she has had. She guides you through the process from A to Z.

Want to meet Marle or hear her story? Feel free to send her a message!
