Sports: Men’s soccer

Entry semester: Fall 2024

Tobias is 18 years old and lives in Amsterdam with his parents, younger brother, younger sister, and dog. He has been playing soccer since he was 4 years old at an Amsterdam-based football club. In between, he also played tennis for a year, but it turned out that soccer was still his favorite sport.

What makes Tobias special is his ability to get along with everyone, possessing strong social skills, and being dedicated both as a person and in his sport. Furthermore, Tobias stands out as an athlete because he possesses excellent leadership qualities, which he has developed over the years as the captain of his team. He is highly motivated and enjoys instilling that motivation in his teammates. His strengths as a goalkeeper lie in stopping penalties, and he excels in one-on-one situations.

In America, Tobias hopes to earn his Bachelor’s Degree and further develop himself both as a person and as a goalkeeper. He aims to bring out the best in himself and his teammates. Tobias will bring his leadership skills and winning mentality to America, hoping to inspire his teammates with them. His ultimate goal is to become a champion with his team!
