Björn Faber – Men’s Tennis

In this article, we share more about student-athlete Björn Faber. Additionally, at the bottom of this article, you will find the video in which Björn tells more about himself.

Sports: Men’s Tennis
Entry semester: Fall 2025

Björn is a 17-year-old tennis player from Sint-Michielsgestel, a small village near Den Bosch, where he lives with his parents. He also has two older brothers who are studying in Eindhoven and Groningen.

Björn started playing tennis when he was nine years old. He also played soccer for a while, but when he turned twelve, he decided to fully focus on tennis. Tennis runs in Björn’s family, which is ideal as he always has someone nearby to hit with.

Björn is an incredibly independent and social person. He values taking good care of himself and his family members. Those who know Björn would describe him as someone who always strives to get the best out of every situation and seeks progress, not only on the tennis court but also in everyday life.

On the court, Björn is mentally very strong. He is able to maintain his focus during critical moments in a match and is not easily distracted by the crowd or his opponent. In terms of playing style, Björn always strives to play aggressively, especially using his forehand and volleys as key weapons.

” I can bring a lot of energy to the court and my team”
