Sports: Women’s Field Hockey
Entry semester: Fall 2023

16-year-old Emily lives in Amsterdam and has lived in Amsterdam all her life. Her mother is American, which makes her half American and has sparked her interest in America. Emily comes from a real hockey family and has therefore been involved in the sport since she was 5 years old. She would like to expand her (international) network and gains experiences that she will not experience in the Netherlands.

Emily’s strongest quality is that she is not easily influenced by external factors such as friends or family. She will always choose her own way and that makes for a strong independent opinion. Our hockey topper understands the game very well and has good tactical insight. In addition, Emily is very good at coaching her teammates on the field to keep the game on track. She is a real team player and that creates a good bond with her teammates.

In America, Emily wants to show her best side by becoming a good co-player within the team, this combined with a bit of fun in the team makes for Emily the perfect American Dream.
