Together with Stichting Amsterdams Jeugd Volleybal, Slamstox is hosting a volleyball clinic and presentation on studying and playing sports in America. During this training none other than Ron Zwerver will give a clinic. To teach the youth new techniques and coach them to a higher level, but he will also be present to scout new talent. Following the clinic Ron Zwever will tell all volleyball players and their parents more about what college volleyball looks like in America and the possible opportunities for everyone. Extra fun; during this clinic Stijn van Tilburg, former player of the University of Hawaii, professional volleyball player and part of the Dutch team will also be present. And if that is not enough, also Mark Jones (women’s volleyball head coach Quincy University, top Division II program) will be there to tell even more about America and college volleyball.

Ron Tramp

After winning Olympic gold himself in 1996, Ron Zwerver spent many years as coach of the Dutch volleyball team. In addition, he coached the Division I team at Oregon State University for four years. Since returning, he wants nothing more than to give the next generation of talented volleyball players the opportunity to combine volleyball and study in America. For several years he has been active in the volleyball department of Slamstox, helping our volleyball players with their trajectory towards America.
