Sport: Women’s Track & Field
Enrollment semester: Fall 2027
This is Isis Neijland, a passionate and competitive middle-distance runner from the Netherlands. Isis started track and field at the age of six and was introduced to various events within the sport. She soon realized that running suited her best and decided to focus entirely on it starting at age 12. Isis primarily competes in the 800 meters, but also runs the 400 meters and other distances.
Isis stands out above all for her discipline and competitive mindset. Both during training and competitions, she always strives to give her absolute best. Even under pressure, she manages to stay calm and execute her race well. That combination of consistency, perseverance, and the desire to keep improving forms an important foundation for her development as an athlete.
In the United States, Isis hopes to continue improving her speed, endurance, and game strategy. She is also looking forward to competing at a high level and making a valuable contribution to her future college team.
“My goal is to continue developing as an athlete, compete at a high level, and eventually become one of the top 800-meter runners in the Netherlands.” – Isis Neijland
