This is Julia Pieters, a 17-year-old field hockey player from Hoofddorp. Raised in a true field hockey family, she developed a deep passion for the sport at an early age.

Julia began her field hockey career at MHC De Reigers in Haarlemmermeer, where she always played on the selection teams. In the under 14 and under 16 she won several first division championships, where she honed her offensive qualities. To challenge herself further, she made the move to AMHC Rood-Wit. There she was selected for the under 18 team and played at the highest field hockey level in the Netherlands.

What makes Julia special is her constant drive to improve. She never settles for “good enough” and is always looking for an environment where she and her teammates push each other to get better. Academically, athletically and personally, she tries to get the most out of herself.

During matches, Julia stands out for her game awareness, physical strength and work ethic. She has an excellent ability to anticipate crucial moments and continues to perform at a high level throughout the match due to her speed and stamina. Her experience in both offensive and defensive positions gives her a unique perspective on the game, making her a versatile and valuable player.

In America, Julia wants to continue to develop as a player and make an impact within her team. Her long-term goal is to continually challenge herself and get better. With her unique qualities and mentality, she believes she will be a valuable addition to any team.
