As of April 1, Marle van Dessel is making the move to Head of Placement. A nice and well-deserved promotion, and an important next step for Slamstox.
About Marle
Marle has now been a fixture within Slamstox for many years and has developed into one of the driving forces within the placement team.
Her background as a student-athlete provides a strong foundation in this. For example, she herself played four years of college field hockey at the Division 1 level at Virginia Commonwealth University and also gained work experience within the athletic department at Georgia Southern University.
In recent years, Marle guided more than 250 student-athletes in their journey to America. During that time, she built a large network of coaches and universities and grew to become an important link within Slamstox.
In addition to her work with clients, Marle also plays a major role in training and mentoring young talent within the team.
The role of Head of Placement
In her new role, Marle is responsible for everything related to placement within Slamstox.
From coaching field hockey stretches to managing the team and further developing how we support our student-athletes.
With her at the helm, we are taking the next step in the quality and impact of our counseling.
