Meet Timo Bosman, a driven and versatile defender from Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands. Timo is 17 years old and lives with his parents and older brother. He started playing soccer at the age of seven, inspired by his best friend – who he still plays with today. He started his soccer career at Alphense Boys, but made the switch to ARC at age 12 to challenge himself at a higher level.

His family describes him as an easy-going, sociable and friendly person, always open to new people and experiences. Timo is very eager to learn and ambitious – qualities that are reflected in both his athletic and personal life.

As a player, Timo is known for his speed, physical strength, strong defensive ability in 1-on-1 situations, accurate crosses and good tactical insight. He is naturally a right back, but is also excellent as a central defender. His leadership qualities make him a true captain: for five years he has proudly worn his team’s captain’s armband.

Timo’s goal in the United States is to play college soccer at the highest level, win championships and develop as both an athlete and a person. He aims to successfully complete his studies within four years. In the long run, he wants to remain active in soccer at the top level for as long as possible.

What he adds to a university? In addition to his soccer skills, Timo brings strong personal traits such as leadership, discipline, and a positive attitude. Academically, he is also motivated and ready to do his best.
