Tristan Keulen – Men’s Basketball

In this article, we will tell you more about student-athlete Tristan Keulen. Furthermore, at the bottom of this article, you will find the video in which Tristan shares more about himself.

Sports: Basketball

Entry semester: Fall 2024

Tristan Keulen is 17 years old and hails from Leeuwarden. After trying various sports, he began playing basketball at the age of 12. He was inspired by his father and cousins, who are also basketball players, and after his first training session, he knew right away that this was the sport for him. After initially playing at the amateur level, Tristan now competes at the highest level in his age group.

Both on and off the court, Tristan is highly motivated and possesses great determination. He always strives to bring out the best in himself, which also explains his excellent grades in school. Furthermore, Tristan is a challenging player to defend due to his strong drive and his ability to score easily.

During his time in America, Tristan hopes to become the best basketball player he can be and reach the level of his cousins — the NBA level. If basketball doesn’t ultimately work out, Tristan would like to find a job that he enjoys and where he can help people with his knowledge.

‘’I will always give everything I got to both improve as a player and as a teammate.’’
