At the end of this article, you will find the recruiting video with sports footage of Wout as well as his profile on the Slamstox website.

Sports: Men’s Soccer
Entry semester: Fall 2023

17-year-old Wout Diesveld has been playing soccer since he was 4 years old, practically his whole life. He started in a soccer team with a lot of friends and his father as trainer. At the age of 11, he was scouted by the KNVB and had to leave the team with his friends and his father as trainer. Later, he was scouted by Go Ahead Eagles, N.E.C. and De Graafschap, partly because of this he got to play against a lot of different professional clubs such as Liverpool and Ajax. This has allowed him to gain a lot of experience of the professional soccer level.

Our soccer player has been to America several times which has caused the country to capture his heart. In the video, Wout uses a moment where he was in the stands of the LA Rams, a game where 100,000 people came to cheer on the team and the stadium went completely crazy. America’s totally different sports culture has made Wout want to go to America.

Wout is a super social and driven guy, he has nose for the ball and has a lot of technical skills. He is super motivated and wants to win every game, a real winner’s mentality. Besides his skills, he finds it important to coach his teammates both on and off the field.

”The sports experience, the sports lifestyle is on a completely different level which really appeals to me. That’s when I found out, America is my country.”
