Sam Neijenhuizen – Men’s Tennis

In this article, we will tell you more about student-athlete Sam Neijenhuizen. Furthermore, at the bottom of this article, you will find the video in which Sam shares more about himself.

Sports: Tennis

Entry semester: Fall 2024

Sam Neijenhuizen is 17 years old and lives with his parents near The Hague. Since childhood, Sam has been involved in tennis, always watching his mother play and seizing every opportunity to pick up a racket or ball. Until he was twelve, Sam also played field hockey, but eventually, he chose to fully concentrate on tennis.

In his daily life, Sam is a kind person who cares a lot about the people around him. Furthermore, he is very disciplined and always open to learning new things. On the tennis court, he is highly coachable and thoroughly enjoys playing tennis as part of a team.

In America, Sam hopes to develop both as a tennis player and as an individual. He aims to spend as much time on the court as possible to improve his skills, but he also hopes to gain a healthy dose of self-confidence, as he admits to occasionally lacking it. Sam is committed to giving his all during his time in America and is known for contributing to a positive team atmosphere.

‘’As a player I am very coachable, I am willing to learn. So that means I am also very dedicated.’’
