Noëlle Huijser

As Noëlle played field hockey until age 15, she only started to focus on running track in 2021 after competing in her first track race ever. She immediately fell in love with running and shortly after she already competed at the Dutch National Championships U16 where she finished 9th in the 800m. Noëlle is currently training with her local club team Loopland Gelderland. 

Noëlle’s major strengths are her motivation and winning mindset. She doesn’t give up easily and is a hard worker as she always gives a 100% effort during races, but also in training. As the dedicated athlete she is, Noëlle loves to work hard and pushes herself to the limit as she always fights to win. An area of improvement is her endurance as the final 200m stretch of a 800m race is tough for Noëlle. In order to improve her aerobic base, she is currently doing a lot of endurance running and she competed in various longer XC races this past winter season. We strongly believe there is still much room for improvement if Noëlle keeps developing athletically and increases her aerobic capacity. 

Some of Noëlle’s best athletic performances so far are her 4th place at the Dutch National Championships U18 indoors (2023) and 5th place outdoors (2022) running the 800m.

This past indoor season (22-23) she was ranked 7th nationally U18 with a 800m best time of 2:18,15.

400m: 1.01.67 (2023)

800m: 2:17.87 (2023)

1500m: 4:57,22 (2023)

Her primary goals in the USA are to perform at her absolute best representing her college T&F team and PB in each event. Noëlle would like to keep developing herself athletically to lift her running performance to the next level and close the gap with the national top-level athletes. Moreover, her ultimate goal is to represent The Netherlands in International Championships.

Noëlle is currently enrolled in the highest level of high school in The Netherlands (VWO) and she is expected to graduate in the Spring of 2024. For more information about her academics, please check out the details section below.
