Jelle started high jumping when he was 14 years old, and instantly fell in love with the sport and started to become better and better ever since. Now, 4 years later, Jelle is ranked number 1 in the Dutch juniors and is placed 10th of Europe looking at personal records.
Jelle is looking forward to becoming the best version of himself and giving everything he has got. His ultimate goal for now is reaching the world championships under 20. While still working on the strength in his legs and plyometric training, Jelle is very excited to improve his approach run with more speed and strong steps. Nonetheless, with his 6’7 length, Jelle has the potential to become a great jumper.
Jelle’s PB currently is 2.05m.
Jelle has already accomplished many things, including winning the national championship under 16 in August 2017, winning an international meet between Dutch and German juniors in September 2017, winning the national indoor championship under 18 in February 2019 and winning the national championship under 18 in June 2019.
Up until now, Jelle has never trained more than 3 days a week. We believe that with the right training and guidance, he can improve much more in the near future. He would like to use his college career to maximize his potential.
Academically, Jelle is interested in following education, business, finance management, international business or any other related major. For more information about his academics, please visit the details section.
