Daphne Posthumus (2006) is a highly talented 6’3 middle blocker from the Netherlands, who is looking for an ambitious college volleyball team to join in the Fall of 2025. Daphne is currently enrolled in the highest level of high school (VWO) and plays volleyball at PDK Huizen.

About Daphne Posthumus

Daphne Posthumus started playing volleyball at a young age at VV Volta. In 2023 she made a transfer to PDK Huizen. She always played for the highest girls team in her age category. Currently, she plays for the first women’s team of PDK Huizen (First division level).

Daphne is a highly motivated volleyball player and has a natural ability to hit balls deep into the corner. Her hand/wrist coordination gives her an edge over other age groups. Her height helps her do so well above the net.

Her service also gives her the opportunity to score some free points for her team. As a teamplayer Daphne loves to learn from her (future) teammates, but also loves to teach them new “European” things to grow as a team. In as outside the court.

During her time in college, she wants to grow as a volleyball player overall. Communicate more during matches and improve her movement in blocking and other technical skills.

Daphne is currently enrolled in high school, in the VWO level, the highest level of high school in the Netherlands. She expects to graduate in June 2025. Daphne has not decided what she wants to have a major in.
