Sports: Women’s Volleyball

Entry semester: Fall 2025

Nora Savelsbergh is 16 years old and lives in Velp with her parents, brother, sister, and two cats. Nora was 9 years old when she started playing volleyball. Because one of Nora’s friends was already playing volleyball, Nora wanted to give it a try as well. She attended a training session once, and from that moment on, she immediately fell in love with the sport.

Nora would describe herself as social and enjoys meeting new people. Friends and family of Nora describe her as determined, both within volleyball and beyond. Nora also looks at everything from the positive side.

What makes Nora special is that she never gives up. Additionally, she cycles 3 to 4 times a week for 8km to her training, indicating her strong athletic nature. Nora enjoys trying new things and making the most out of them.

Nora’s coach and teammates describe her as a great team player. Nora can also perform well under pressure and lead a team.

In America, Nora hopes to elevate her volleyball skills to a higher level, meet new people, and experience a new culture. She looks forward to having a lot of fun, developing herself, and especially becoming more independent.
