Floriènne started playing field hockey when she was young and played in the first selection teams of her club (HC Eindhoven) all throughout her career. For the 2023-2024 season she decided to challenge herself athletically and try out for a higher level club nearby (MEP). She was selected to the U18-1 team and is currently playing at the Super A level (second highest level of youth hockey in The Netherlands). Throughout her career, Floriènne has always been in the first selection teams of her club, playing at the higher regional levels (Eerste Klasse/Subtop) as a standout player for her team. At HC Eindhoven, Floriènne was frequently asked to practice and play with the teams one age group higher than her.

Floriènne mostly plays as side mid. She has experience with playing as a central midfielder and defender as well. She is able to see great passing lanes and knows how to be a connecting player between defense and offense. She is a great distributor and has an attacking mindset, looking for opportunities up the field. Floriènne is very strong when in posession of the ball and knows how to use her body and tight stick skills to bring power into her play.

Floriènne was selected to try out for the U14 regional team when she was 12 years old. She has also participated in several hockey academies with other talented players in her city, learning a lot from highly qualified and experienced coaches.

Floriènne has been named team captain frequently over the years, allowing her to work on her leadership skills.

Floriènne is expected to graduate MBO (comparable to Dutch high school) in June 2025. She will be taking the SAT and Duolingo in the Spring or Fall of 2024.

Floriènne is very excited for the opportunity to play college field hockey starting Fall 2025. She is looking forward to contributing to the success of her team but is also eager to learn from her American teammates and coaches.
