As a left-handed opposite player, Hester brings a unique advantage to the court. She currently plays for Voltena, second women’s team (second division) and first team (Super division). Known for her steady and consistent performance, she is a dependable team player who contributes significantly in both blocking and attacking positions. 

At the young age of 12 she joined the first women’s team of VOKO. Since then, her dedication and talent have propelled her to remarkable achievements, including her debut at the age of 15 in the Dutch top division for Volley Tilburg, the second-highest level in the Netherlands. This year she switched to Voltena to play and train on a higher level. 

With a formidable presence at the net, her height of 6’1 combined with her jumping power makes Hester a dangerous attacker. She also has a very good vision and times her blocks extremely well. 

One of Hester’s standout skills is her float service, adding an extra dimension to her game. Her ability to deliver precise and challenging serves puts additional pressure on opponents and contributes to her team’s success.

Her consistent performances have earned her several pre-selections for Dutch youth teams, highlighting her potential at the national level.

Hester is enrolled in bilingual VWO, the highest level of high school in the Netherlands, showcasing her academic aptitude and dedication to her studies. She expects to graduate in June 2025 and is interested in majors like communication, psychology or criminology.
