Sports: Tennis

Entry semester: Fall 2024

Daria Godlewska is 17 years old and lives with her parents and her sister in Zoetermeer. She started playing tennis at a young age, at just 7 years old. Tennis was not the only sport she practiced back then; she was also into judo and dancing.

In her daily life, Daria is a calm and organized person. She always has her affairs in order and works very hard. Daria also loves learning new things, and she is very skilled at it. On the tennis court, Daria is a lefty with her service and backhand as powerful weapons. Even during matches, Daria always works hard and gives her full 100% to win every point.

During her time in America, Daria hopes to develop herself as much as possible, both as a person and as an athlete. She will do everything in her power to achieve good grades and train as hard as possible. All of this is intended to help her achieve her ultimate goal, which is to play in the four Grand Slam tournaments.

‘’Personally, I find encouraging my teammates very important.’’
