Sports: Field Hockey
Entry semester: Fall 2024

The 16-year-old Frederique has been playing at the national top with her club Schaerweijde for two years now. She has been playing field hockey since she was six and started at a local club in Maarssen and has always played with older teams. When Frederique was u14 she made her debut with the first team where she learned a lot through all the tips and tricks she got. Nowadays she travels a long way to practice and combines that with her school but she has it all for it.

Frederique is a driven girl who wants to get everything out of herself. She is social and values her friends and family. As an athlete, Frederique thinks it is important to work hard together, to be a close team and to go through fire for each other. She can therefore come off the field very satisfied when they are tired from training hard. On the field, she is a fast technical player who tries to outplay her opponent in a smart way. She enjoys scoring a goal just as much as making a good cross; the team’s interests come first.

She can’t wait to experience the sports culture in America and looks forward to cheering on other athletes from her future university.
