University Spotlight: Whittier College

It’s time for another University Spotlight, and this time we’re featuring Whittier College, a private liberal arts college in California. One of our tennis players, Maas Jacobs, has recently joined the Men’s Tennis team at this university.

We wish Maas the best of luck and a lot of fun at Whittier College. Are you curious about what the campus looks like, what sports are played, and what academic programs are available? Keep reading to find out more.

Campus

Whittier College is located in the city of Whittier in the state of California. In your first year, you’ll live on campus, and you can choose to stay on campus in the following years as well. The campus offers a wide range of facilities, all conveniently located close to each other to make life easier for student-athletes. These facilities include a newly renovated baseball field, an indoor sports complex, various tennis courts, fitness centers, and more. Of course, there are also various school buildings and restaurants. Curious about what the campus looks like? Check out a virtual tour here. Can you picture yourself walking around there?

On campus, there’s plenty to do beyond sports and academics. Various active clubs and organizations offer a wide range of activities, fostering a strong sense of community among students. These organizations primarily focus on strengthening friendships among their members, emphasizing four core pillars: friendship, scholarship, leadership, and community service. Together, they ensure that everyone has a fantastic time and gets to know many new people!

Study

Whittier College is academically strong, making it an excellent choice for a quality education. They offer over 50 majors in various fields, including business administration, biochemistry, engineering, kinesiology, and mathematics.
